IN-PERSON SERVICES

We look forward to being with you again at our in-person worship services. In order to uphold the best standards possible, we have set the following protocols for the health and safety of all of our congregants. 

WHAT TO EXPECT
Before you Register for In-Person Service
If you are considered high risk for severe illness from COVID-19 and/or do not feel comfortable attending in-person at this time, we will be livestreaming our Sunday services. Please continue to join us online!
Do not register if, in the last 14 days you or your household have:
  • Exhibited any symptoms such as cough, fever or respiratory problems
  • Been in contact with anyone who has exhibited the above symptoms
  • Tested positive for COVID-19
  • Been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days from your contact with them 
  • Traveled out of the country
  • OR, you are unable to wear a facemask correctly, covering both nose and mouth for your entire time on campus
Registration
  • You must register both yourself and your household if attending, either online or by phone (310) 323-5683. Registration opens Tuesday at noon and closes Friday at 5 PM the week before service. Please only register if you are certain of attending.
  • All GVBC staff, volunteers, and congregants are required to register. Space is limited, so registration is first come, first serve.
  • New visitors who did not register online will be able to register at the main entrance and will be properly screened before entry.
Campus
  • All chairs, bathrooms, floors, etc. on site will be properly sanitized with EPA-approved disinfectants before every service. Frequently touched areas will be cleaned more frequently.
  • Touchless hand sanitizers will be available throughout the campus.
  • Restrooms will be available and properly sanitized. Occupancy will be limited.
  • Water fountains will be closed off. Please bring your own water bottle.
  • Unused areas of the GVBC campus will be restricted.
  • No refreshments will be served.
  • No bulletins, pens, or other common use items will be distributed.
  • Required protocols will be posted.
ONSITE SAFETY PROTOCOLS
1. Before you Leave Home
  • If feasible, please take your temperature at home. If you or anyone in your household have a fever, cough or respiratory problems, please stay home even though you have registered.
2. When you arrive
  • Please park ensuring good distance between you and other cars. Park every other parking spot if possible.
  • Please wear your facemask correctly for your entire duration with us. If you need one, a mask will be provided onsite.
  • Maintain a distance of 6 feet between you and other households while walking in. Avoid hugs, handshakes, fist bumps, or any other physical contact.
  • Check in will open at 9:30am, before service starts at 10am.
3. Entering GVBC
  • Please line up according to the appropriately spaced markers laid out on the ground while we while we check-in and take the temperature of all congregants.
  • In order to reduce cross-traffic, there will only be 1 Entrance (Narthex) and 1 Exit (Community Hall NW door).
  • If you need handicapped access, we will help escort you personally and safely into the building.
  • For your safety and others, please read and observe all signs posted. Feel free to use the touchless hand sanitizers as often as you’d like.
4. While In Worship Service
  • Seats will be spaced 6-feet apart. You may sit together with your household.
  • Doors will be propped open to help fresh air flow.
  • The service duration will be shortened.
  • You may use the restrooms, but occupancy will be limited. Please wait your turn and maintain 6 feet of social distancing. Please wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
  • The service will be live-streamed for online participants and will continue to be made available for online viewing even after service ends.
5. Exiting GVBC
  • Please exit through the Community Hall NW door only.
  • Continue to maintain a proper social distance of 6 feet as you exit.
  • Please keep your facemask on until you have completely left and are fully away from others.
REGISTER FOR IN-PERSON SERVICES
We are excited to worship in-person with you. Please do not register if, within the last 2 weeks, you have had COVID or been in contact with someone with COVID.
 
The form will open Tuesday at 12pm and close Friday at 5pm
