Eiji Osato
Nihongo Pastor
I was born into a non-Christian family in Japan but my mother got saved when I was 10 years old. Soon after that, my whole family became Christians. The pastor of the church put his hands on my head after every Sunday service and said, "Eiji, you will study in America and become a pastor.” After graduating from Rikkyo University, I became a Bible teacher at Kanto Gakuin. Then I went to Thailand to work as a missionary. In 2004 I came to Fuller Theological Seminary and took the degree of MA in Intercultural Studies. After 19 years work in Thailand, finally I became a pastor assigned to a Japanese ministry here at GVBC in 2011. I am a Kendo master and love all kind of sports both watching and playing. My favorite bible verse is ”I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4: 13”
